Hello friends! Oh, it’s spring!
I know it’s officially been spring for a while, but it’s been quite chilly and gloomy where I live in upstate New York. I am oh-so-ready for warmer days of sunshine and gardening and walking barefoot in the grass. This is one of my favorite times of year, and I hope to make the very most of it!
That’s what this month’s cottagecore-themed Little Bible Plan is all about. Taking time to slow down & savor all the little God-given joys of life. Keep reading to learn more!
Also available in Spanish & German, thanks to my lovely translators, Melanie & Thays.
P.S. (Just as a fun little tidbit, this month’s design was inspired by two of my favorite fictional cottagecore girlies—Anne of Green Gables & Fawn from Tinker Bell.)

LITTLE BIBLE PLAN
This month, I’m excited to announce that we will be reading through the book of Hebrews!
I was looking back through years of old Little Bible Plans, and I’m not sure we’ve ever studied Hebrews together. Which is crazy! (If we did, I couldn’t find it.) And so, this felt like the perfect time to dig into this wonderful book!
If you need help understanding the passages or are looking to deepen your study, I highly recommend the commentaries on Enduring Word.
COTTAGECORE CHRISTIAN SPRING
I’m sure you are familiar with the term “cottagecore,” but just in case, here’s a little definition:
Cottagecore
The idea of living life as if you were transported back in time to a cottage in the English countryside. It’s the opposite of hustling—it’s all about slowing down and appreciating the beauty of life. Gardening, picking flowers, strolling through quiet meadows, baking treats. An aesthetic filled with flowy dresses, floral prints, old books, tea & nature.
I love to embrace this aesthetic & mindset during springtime, especially from a Christian perspective. It truly helps me to romanticize life, soak in the beauty of God’s creation, and appreciate all the little joys He gives us. (Just since making this plan, I’ve been waking up and intentionally listening to the birds instead of missing their sweet morning songs!)
Here are some of the “Cottagecore Christian Spring” ideas you’ll find:
- Pray to see the beauty in every day.
- Have tea with your Bible study.
- Thank God for little things in nature today.
- Go on a nature/prayer walk.
+ many more!
As always, these ideas are purely for fun, and you can do as many or as little as you’d like. You can even do them on different days than they’re listed or switch them up to work for your personal lifestyle.
(TIP: I love having my quiet time with Jesus outside in nature, but when it’s too cold or rainy, I also love putting up a cottagecore spring ambience on YouTube for all the cozy vibes.)
At the heart of it all, I truly hope this spring finds us spending more time in God’s creation, nurturing a heart of thankfulness for all the blessings He’s given us, and—most importantly—falling more & more in love with our Savior as we spend time with Him in His Word & prayer. Happy May, friends!
