September 2023 Bible Reading Plan + Cozy Bible Passages & Hobbit Theme!

Hello friend! Happy September! I am brimming with excitement for this month’s very special Little Bible Plan theme—concerning hobbits. Keep reading to learn more!

HOBBIT THEME

In honor of Hobbit Day (September 22nd), this month’s Little Bible Plan will be taking us on a journey to the Shire, where we’ll find all things cozy, homey, and hobbity.

(DISCLAIMER: If you have NO IDEA what I’m talking about right now, and think I’ve lost my mind, I’m so sorry. *laughing emoji* Hobbits are sweet little creatures from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. If you have absolutely zero interest in these things, you may still enjoy the cozy Bible passages & be able to tweak the daily prompts to work for you—for instance, replacing the word “hobbit” with “cozy”—OR, click here to see all of our past Little Bible Plans if you’d like to choose a different one!)

Okay, so how are we connecting this to Jesus? Guys, I was so blessed as I picked out the Bible passages this month! You’ll find themes such as:

• fellowship
• food
• nature
• journeys
• God’s protection & love
• being cozy

I just love God’s Word, and it’s incredible the wide variety of topics we can find! I picked out these Bible passages to loosely match the hobbity ideas each day, such as:

• Ask God to be with you as you go on this adventure.
• Listen to soft, cozy worship music.
• Press leaves in your Bible.
• Have second breakfast.
• Make a nature themed page in your Bible.

+ lots more! As always, these ideas are just for fun & you can complete as many or as little as you’d like. (They also don’t have to be completed on the day they’re listed.)

If you love hobbits & The Lord of the Rings like I do, I hope this Bible plan is a blessing to you! Through all of the fantasy and fun, my main goal is always that we’ll grow to love Jesus more as we spend time with Him in His Word & prayer. Wishing you a happy (and hobbity) September!
