I’ve been jamming out to Hollyn’s soulful, pop-inspired music for years now, and it’s such an honor and a treat to have her on Little Faith Blog! If you’ve never heard of her before, Hollyn is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter who shares Jesus through fresh beats and genuine lyrics. Recently she released two singles (“You Won’t” and “Horizon”), along with commentaries on each song where she gets real and vulnerable about a bad relationship she went through and how God healed her. I hope you enjoy getting to know her more through this interview!

CAN YOU PINPOINT THE MOMENT WHEN YOU REALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH JESUS?

I’ve fallen for Him over and over again. I met Jesus when I was five years old, but last year I had an encounter with Him that changed the way I will forever see Him. That moment was so special for me. A friend of mine and I were praying and He answered so many questions I had that day and lifted the pressure of striving off of my life. I felt grace.

WHAT HAS THIS JOURNEY AS A MUSICIAN BEEN LIKE FOR YOU? HOW HAS IT SHAPED YOU INTO THE PERSON YOU ARE TODAY?

This journey has been every emotion to the extreme, in a nutshell. Being a musician, a creative, and a female are all very emotionally life-giving and draining things at the same time. It’s made me more aware of my weaknesses and in turn, revealed to me the beauty in letting Him be my strength. I am surrounded by the most beautiful humans who keep me grounded and remind me of the truth of who I am.

  1. I love getting to hear from Christian artists. It makes their music that much more personal. As you know, we don’t get a lot of Christian artist up here in the Northeast, but it seems more and more are making their way up here. Love your blog so much 💕
