Hello February! If you’ve been following me for a while, you might know that this month is one of my absolute favorites! Not just because of all the pink, roses, Hallmark movies and mine & Michaela’s birthdays (although those are all wonderful things), but also because of our yearly Little Bible Plan tradition—praying for our future (or present) husbands in February!
THE PASSAGES
Did you know that the Bible is God’s love letter to you? This month we’re going to be studying 29 different passages about His unfailing love. Just reading these verses as I picked them out had me in tears. God’s love is so much better than anything we could ever ask or hope for!
THE PRAYERS
Praying for your future husband is such a wonderful, valuable thing you can do for him. (Or your present husband if you’re already married!) If it’s God’s will for you to get married someday, then your future husband is out there somewhere, facing all kinds of worries, temptations and struggles just like you do. Your prayers for him are not just happy thoughts—they are powerful weapons against the enemy!
Each day this month you’ll find a different way you can pray for him. Such as:
- to surrender his whole heart to Jesus.
- that he will love to read and study the Bible.
- to run from sin.
- that he will be loving, gentle and kind.
And if you’re married, most of these prayer ideas will work for your husband, too! You may have to tweak a couple of them to fit your situation.
I am SO excited to spend a month praying for my future husband. It’s something I really want to start doing more often. What a beautiful gift to give him one day—to be able to tell him, “I’ve been praying for you.”
